Meet the Teachers

Daniella Doepke Gow, Teacher
The wonderful Daniella (Dani as we all call her) has been with EBDT since the beginning. She is the heart and soul of our studio. She brings laughter, support and amazing tap combinations to children of all ages. She also takes on our adult classes and ensures we always create a memorable experience filled with love. If you haven't had the opportunity to learn from Dani now is the time!

Kristin Edwards, Teacher
"My name is Kristin and I have been a student at EBDT since I was 6 yo. I began classes in the basement and fell in love instantly. I danced at EBDT throughout my high school years and came on staff to teach in 1998. I danced throughout college at the University of Minnesota and graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology. I have been certified in Pilates since 2006 and love teaching it over the summer months. I enjoy seeing the dancers grow and progress through the year as well as getting to know them and their families. My husband and I have 2 boys that love to dance (at home anyway!) I hope I can instill my love of dance in each student I teach...and help them learn to stand up tall and be proud. Up, back, down!"

Karlynn Kester, Teacher
"My name is Karlynn and I've been taking dance since I was three years old. I came to EBDT at age 12, and joined the staff in 1989. I studied dance for one year at UC Santa Barbara and earned a dance minor at Macalaster College. I live in St. Paul with my husband and two children. My favorite style to teach is lyrical ballet, and my favorite part of teaching at EBDT is watching little kids grow into amazing, talented, young adults. And then later...I get to teach THEIR kids!"

Anthony Letourneau, Teacher
"I was a student at EBDT and continued my love of movement at UW- Eau Claire where I danced with the Concert Dance Company (a student organization) and the The Ensemble (an audition group sponsored by the Music and Theater Arts department). I was lucky enough to participate in guest artist workshops and attend conferences as a participant and presenting choreographer. When not rolling on the floor, I teach high school English and French. I love how movement fits differently on all people to help us explore our connection and relation to the world and people around us- and that moment when students make realization."

Emma Verges, Teacher/Assistant
I started dance here at EBDT when I was just 3 years old, and I continued dancing in many ways into high school and college. My fondest memories at EBDT went beyond the dance class. My friends and I became so close our senior year and often went out to dinners together. I am so happy to be back in this special place and getting to help my favorite teachers with their classes. I am so looking forward to this dance year and watching everyone grow, make friends, and become stronger dancers. When I am not at dance, I work as a fingerprint examiner. Our fingerprints (and footprints) are not only unique to each dancer but help us to grip and hold onto things. It’s those footprints that allow us to dance across the floor, jumping and turning, without slipping and falling!

Jenny Regan, Teaching Assistant
"I have been dancing at Estyre Brindle for 20 years focusing mainly in jazz and tap and loving every beat of it!! Right now my role is assisting Dani and Kristin with a couple of their dances in order to gain confidence in my choreographing skills. When I'm not dancing, I am a 2nd grade teacher at Garlough Environmental Magnet School in West St. Paul. I also enjoy spending time with my new niece, Brynn and my nephew, Jack, who are twins!"
